How is high-pressure air stored?
The high-pressure and high-temperature air is cooled before being stored in an air reservoir. An optimal RTE and COE of 89.76% and 126.48 $/MWh was reported for the hybrid system, respectively. Zhang et al. also achieved 17.07% overall efficiency improvement by coupling CAES to SOFC, GT, and ORC hybrid system.
